Following the enormous success of Zuma London, Rainer Becker quickly recognised the huge popularity of robatayaki cuisine and opened ROKA Charlotte Street, London in 2004. The principal cuisine comes from the Robata grill. Located amid diners the grill forms an integral design element of all the restaurants but more than being a stunning feature, the robata is truly the heart of ROKA. In 2007, Hamish Brown became the Head Chef of ROKA Charlotte Street. A native New Zealander, Hamish brought with him a great passion for blending the great Asian cuisines that make up the Western Pacific Rim. At ROKA, he has developed the restaurant’s authentic but contemporary menu, fusing his knowledge of Japanese ingredients with his love of quality, seasonal British produce. Amazing place with a great view for the fountain show great music and good amount of options for food and beverage specially the wine me and my friend had a great time enjoying their seafood platter with a bottle of wine plus the service of the waiter is spot less and they had a celebration for birthdays to I can’t wait to comeback for their New Year Special ✨

We much enjoyed the concept, the quality of good and combination of choices and the service. Our server Zifal was absolutely charming, humble, very polite and knowledgeable. There’s no doubt, we shall come back again.

The waiter was super busy and overwhelmed at the beginning, but the lady that assisted us with the wine went above expectations and was more “Rola standard” but overall it was good. The restaurant week set menu was outstanding.
