The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer. I always have such a lovely time here. There was a wedding scheduled for this evening and whilst I don’t know how it went, it certainly is a beautiful choice of venue.

Cocktails are a rip off. Not every cocktail Is the same measure so don’t serve them as they are but in different glasses with breeze blocks of ice. Cocktails should be different measures. Food, service and surroundings on the other hand was amazing.

Food was outstanding. If you want a proper authentic taste of Ireland come here. Beautiful little bistro style place with wonderfully friendly staff, great food at pretty reasonable prices for what you're getting.
