Service was very good, quietly efficient. I had the fillet steak, which was excellent and cooked medium rare, as I ordered. My husband had the lamb which he enjoyed as the the meat was very good, but too much pasta. We were disappointed with the selection of desserts so just had coffee, which was very good.

Following my last experience at the Cafe, where it was exceedingly loud because the chairs were unendingly being scraped across the tiled floor, I'm now delighted to say that that noise has been corrected. I saw that each chair had rubber feet on them. This is an outstanding outcome & despite its simplicity, has rejuvenated everyone's experience there. Well done Portrait Gallery Cafe. I'll be back. Staff were attentive and quick to serve us, polite and friendly Coffee was EXTRA HOT as requested.

"I love the relaxed feel of this place. I definitely would return. The Fish was amazing and the Wagyu Flank perfectly cooked and of ample portion. Service was well-timed and friendly.

Great Value. Big potions. Need a bit more work on matched wines.
