Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting ambiance that sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The food, as always, was absolutely delicious—each dish crafted with care and bursting with flavor. What truly elevated our evening was the outstanding service we received from Nebil. His professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine friendliness made us feel truly valued as guests. Nebil anticipated our needs effortlessly, provided thoughtful recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s rare to encounter such exceptional service, and it made an already great meal even more memorable. Filomena, once again, proved why it remains our favorite dining spot!

It is pure fine dining. The food is delicious from start to finish and the money you spend is worth it. The drinks presentation wise are elaborate, but maybe not needed.

This is a beautiful space. We had a large party of 8 pp, some friends were late, and we had a friend pull up last minute. I would say, not the easiest table. Our Captain and servers were very attentive and accommodating. All my guests left saying what a fabulous dinner it was. Fun cocktails. We shared a bunch of plates (Halloumi, Gigantes, Spanakopita, Mushrooms [Get Them!]) Feta Wrapped Phyllo, and some ordered mains. The food was so yummy! We will be back.
