At the edge of the CBD, in the spectacular 22-hectare waterfront precinct where an old container terminal once stood, discerning foodies can now find some of the city’s best sushi in Barangaroo. Established in 2016, the newest addition to the Zushi restaurant empire is in Sydney’s impressive new harbour foreshore playground. Zushi Barangaroo is both stylish and comfortable, capturing the relaxed style of a typical Japanese bar or izakaya designed by the renowned architect Koichi Takada. We offer premium service complimented with a wide selection of imported beers, Japanese inspired cocktails, and Japanese sake and whisky.Zushi prides itself on using only carefully sourced local ingredients; the freshest vegetables and sustainable seafood where possible and most of the menu is gluten-free. We are open every day for lunch and dinner, serving delectable sushi, sashimi and share plates. And the glorious harbour views are pretty tasty too.

Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier.     Went for Valentine's Day dinner and we ordered the set menu. The garden spritz drink was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful of the food. Highlight for us was the brocollini, the chicken and meat skewers were tender. If I could comment on two things it was very loud and the service was a little slow;

    Valentines Day set menu had outstanding choices if it was a bit pricey. The service was attentive and we were served quickly. Nice atmosphere. All 6 of us enjoyed our meals!

    Thank you for an amazing lunch, the service was exceptional and the food to die for. Especially the Prawns and the Toothfish (which is the first time I have ever eaten out and had it cooked perfectly). The Cauliflower Karaage was so beautiful and fresh it blew my socks off. Thank you again to all the team for a memorable dining experience.

    Had a group booking for 4 girls for lunch and as soon as we all walked in, we are greeted with a smile and also the gorgeous greenery that surrounds us. The interior is full of florals and plants which adds to the atmosphere. We also had a swing chair to sit on with some cute cushions - cute touch. It's not our first time, some have dined here before, but it's still a cool place to visit. After lunch, we stroll through the laneway to see the pink floral set up that is The Chicest Mouse in Paris. Gorgeous! Then a coffee and cake at the cafe next store to top off our experience. It's always lovely to visit the Grounds of Alexandria!
