Situated on the High Street of Eton, close to the River Thames and between the historic buildings of Eton College and Windsor Castle, Gilbey's is open from 12 noon for lunch and 6pm for dinner every day.Originally an old butcher's shop, we created one of the first wine bars outside London in 1975 - The Eton Wine Bar. After 25 years of success, we changed the name in 2000 to Gilbey's, having recognised that our food had outgrown the original wine bar concept. I want to thank all the Ivy staff for their warmth and kindness. It truly is the best place to celebrate a long anniversary or a special event. Everyone was incredibly professional and amazing, and the atmosphere was simply stunning. The afternoon tea was an incredible experience—every piece was exquisite and tasted absolutely wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough—it’s absolutely fantastic!
