The Beacon Butcher Bar is a labor of love from Tina Houston, owner of Reid’s Café & Catering Co., established here in the High Country since 1999. The Beacon is located in the heart of Boone, NC adjacent to the iconic Water Wheel. Just as we value beautiful ingredients in our catering, The Beacon adheres to a similar message. In the kitchen, we value the fashion from scratch details as small as the aiolis and dressings we use, to the housemade desserts and pastries, cured and smoked meats, and naturally fermented pickles.     This is a really cute restaurant in Boone. There is a giant stone fireplace with a fire and the ambience is really nice with high ceilings and thoughtful artwork. The staff is super nice and helpful. The food was really good, although seems a little overpriced for what it is. The wine selection was great. There was a jazz band, but did not start until 9:30. Would be nice if they had started a little earlier.

    Good very good and open to additions and changes. First true anti pasta I have had in ages. Nice rustic ambiance but lighting poor and somewhat glaring. Prices higher than on Open Table menu but not overpriced. Need to update the posted prices. Looking forward to going back and trying other dishes. Large variety.

    Jennifer was an excellent server, always anticipating our needs! So friendly and so helpful! Food was delicious! I had the steak Marsala special and it was outstanding! My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. While they were good, there were way too many herbs in the meatballs. We will definitely be back!
