With Echo & Rig Chef Sam Marvin has introduced a pioneering new concept transforming the long-held theories behind the steakhouse formula. We put a unique nose-to-tail spin on the traditional steakhouse, allowing diners to indulge in the best cuts of meat for incredibly approachable prices. A butcher before a steakhouse, we use every part of the animal. We care about every animal - how it lived, what it ate, and how it was cared for. Our 7,000 square foot space is located in the Downtown Commons Neighborhood (DOCO) in the lobby of The Sawyer Hotel. Situated on the bustling J Street corridor facing the Golden 1 Center main entrance.     We stopped by Ella's bar for appetizers and drinks at the bar while waiting for a friend. Claire W, working the bar, immediately made us feel at home. Cocktails, wine, and a couple of small plates, and everything was perfect. Super yummy, nicely presented, perfect portions. Claire answered all our questions, gave us good insight into what to expect from the small plates, and her wine recommendations were spot-on. Claire also has the perfect personality for the hospitality industry. Warm, open, patient, knowledgeable, and fun. We loved her!!! Next time we fly in to Sacramento, we're definitely heading to Ella's. You should too!!!

    Went at about 6pm on Saturday 11-23-2024 and they were packed - lots of large parties going on, at least 4 that I could tell, making it almost too noisy to enjoy the experience. Service was still top notch, as was the food. I will be back, just not on a weekend night, as personally I'm not fond of crowds like that. Guess it is the price to pay for liking a being a popular eatery so much.

    My wife and I had a lovely experience with everything from the bread to the drinks, appetizers, and main course!! Bone marrow asada is a must try!! Pork belly burnt end melt in you mouth crazy good!! Pea tendrils also amazing side!! It's slept on! Spencer steak nice piece of meat recommended by my good friend and chef Christopher!! Thanks again for the great food. My wife had sea food shrimp and artichokes, and it was also amazing as well!! Will be coming back soon!!
