Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Amalfi Cucina & Mercato - Downtown Atlanta is a traditional Neapolitan trattoria centered around an open kitchen featuring a 6,000 pound wood-burning brick oven imported from Italy. The 170 seat dining room also has large semicircular booths, custom wrought iron chandeliers along with Juliet balconies overlooking an Italian-inspired entryway. Originating in and the true pizza of Naples in the 1600s, Vera Pizza Napoletana is 12 inches or less in size, made from simple fresh quality ingredients from the Campania region of Italy and cooked at temperatures in excess of 900 degrees in approximately 60 seconds. Just launched, a new menu which includes many fresh pastas, salads, appetizers and desserts, including beautiful imported gelato.     We made reservations at the Sun Dial to celebrate my eldest daughter’s birthday and they made our experience so special! The views are incredible of course, the food is phenomenal, and our server, Anna, was so engaging and kind and my girls absolutely loved her so much!

    Very nice place to go have amazing drinks and food! Staff, food and at atmosphere great! Will definitely be back. Only thing I did not like was Sitting right by the door that leads out tonthe side walk. Very cold! Not sure why the staff was going in and out there? No tables or people. Think it should be assessable for fire code but not to just go out and smoke:). Amazing spot tho!!!! 5 stars

    Really great atmosphere, views of downtown Atlanta are amazing, service was exemplary and food was exquisite. I do wish the portions were a little bigger as some entrees seemed small given the price. But overall, we enjoyed spending our time here for our anniversary.

    I apologize for not remembering the name of our server. Hopefully you can look this up under our reservation. But that gentleman, overheard me discussing my birthday and the birthday of my daughter. He brought us free dessert, wished me a happy birthday, knowing my daughter was not at the dinner with us, and wish both of us a wonderful birthday and a happy life. He was wonderful.
