We opened The 3rd BluWater Bistro location in the Leschi neighborhood on March 13, 2004. Mick McHugh handed the reigns over to us after 22 successful years of running the Leschi Lake Café. With a slight remodel we cozy'd up the place, added some fantastic rollback windows, high back booths, some flat screen TV's, and leather furniture by the fireplace. The food was SO good. You can tell a real Italian chef works there. The calamari (not breaded) was tender and delicious. I got the beef and pork bolognese and it was the perfect portion size and very flavorful. It was perfect meal for such a cold day. I'm not sure what my husband got, but it was a pasta that was also delicious. The ambience was also so cozy. There's this beautiful wood paneling every where that made you feel like you were stepping back in time and there was a really good pianist that made it all feel luxurious. They also had a real Christmas tree which smelled amazing and added to the cozy feel. The host was so sweet, but the service (waiter) overall wasn't great. He rolled his eyes and walked away when I asked him if they could make a new york sour (which is a common and not difficult drink). It then took extra long to get the drink. Actually both the first and second drinks took well over 20 min (each) despite the restaurant being half empty. It's not a big deal, it just rubbed me the wrong way.

It did get busy and a little louder, we came at 6 pm. The food was really good, but very expensive. Great view though, pretty night. Wait staff was excellent.
