Our dream at Holy Basil was to create an exciting diner in the Eastern suburbs where people can relax, come together, have fun and enjoy proper homemade food in a very inclusive environment. We are proud to deliver 100% vegan and Vegetarian options at Holy Basil, use free-range eggs and source only sustainably caught seafood as well as a range of other exciting meals with 95% of the menu being gluten free.At Holy Basil we make our own curry pastes, sauces, desserts, chilli jam, and roti.We happily use gluten free soy and 100% pure fish sauce.We greatly appreciate your support in choosing to dine at Holy Basil. Our award winning single vineyard wines are curated from our 20 year old vineyard. Varietals include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. All wines are grown, made and bottled onsite. Our wines are bold and distinctive. They are gutsy, authentic expressions of their terroir. Tokar Estate wines are well structured but retain the elegance the Yarra Valley is renowned for. They are nurtured from vineyard to bottle by winemaker Martin Siebert and the Tokar family.The vineyard is hand tendered by our small team using a minimal intervention approach to winemaking. Since 2012 we have reduced cropping levels to ensure exceptional fruit is produced, and we have implemented more sustainable vineyard practices, such as minimising herbicide use in order to encourage soil microfauna and native grasses that harbour beneficial insects.Stop by for a tasting of our wines and enjoy a glass or two out on our beautiful lawn overlooking the vineyard.

Angelette Alfresco is the restaurant we always wanted to open. We have based our pizzas on the style sold in New Haven, Connecticut. The recipes all with a long linage, we wanted to build something that is as inviting as eating at an italian family home, that the customer can relax in. Dining in the Angelette Alfresco can be easy going ordering 18-inch pizzas or if you are a more structured meal perhaps ordering a few entrées, something from our selection of salumi, or one of our great fresh pastas.
