Chapter One is an award-winning Modern European restaurant with 3 AA Rosettes in Orpington, Kent. Following a major refurbishment in early 2019, Chapter One has relaunched with a more modern approach, tempting guests with greater variety and quality.Under the direction of acclaimed chef Andrew McLeish, modern European cooking is available in two formats. In the Restaurant, sophisticated seasonal dishes are served in a refined setting with a weekly changing 3-course Lunch Menu du Jour, a seasonally-inspired 7-course Tasting Menu and an a la carte option. In the more informal Brasserie, a selection of favourites are cooked to perfection with the finest ingredients. Lovely meal but our oysters had too much chilli. Very expensive but worth it for a special occasion. The desserts are very disappointing.

Let's start with the most important thing ... The food is amazing. It always is. Portion sizes are great- you can have a starter and a main and not feel too full. I always like to share dishes with whomever is at the table and the food at Cinnamon Culture is perfect for that. The restaurant is beautiful. Stylish. Doesn't get too noisy but isn't like a library either. Overall, the service was good. At times, the waitresses were a bit too quick running away from the table and we had to call them back but, it was such a minor thing. And I'm not really complaining. They seem to cater well for large groups as well as your standard twos and fours. If you haven't been, you've got to go.
