La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. We have eaten there several times. Everything was very good. Most important, although they had originally assigned us a very noisy table despite my request for a quiet one, they allowed us to choose a table in a quiet corner and that made for a huge difference.

My friend and I chose Becco for our pre-theatre celebration of my milestone birthday. The servers could not have been nicer or more attentive. We each chose their special of ceasar salad or antipasto and entree of 3 different pastas. The food was delicious and plentiful. We couldn’t even finish it. We topped other off with the tri-flavor sorbet dessert in which they put a candle and sang happy birthday to me. It was a very special dining experience.
