The Assembly House is a gorgeous Georgian gem perfectly located in the heart of Norwich. We set out to create the kind of establishment we'd love to find in one of the UK's most beautiful cities, one where old-fashioned hospitality is valued, food is delicious and where beautiful surroundings can be found hidden around every corner.From breakfast where we serve our unique Beforenoon Tea - the breakfast edition of afternoon tea - to lunch which includes Assembly House classics and grazing boards, we're open seven days a week. We're most famous for our themed afternoon teas which change regularly and are served from noon until last service at 3.30pm daily. As the Home of Afternoon Tea, we also serve some spectacular savoury versions of tea, including Beforenoon Tea, seafood option Afternoon Sea and our cheese-based option Afternoon Cheese. Please let us know your dietary adaptations for vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free or vegetarian teas at least 24 hours in advance.

Pho Norwich is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK. Aside from our lovely food we offer a brilliant range of healthy juices, as well as delicious wine and beer, and a fantastic cocktail menu too. The Belgian Monk opened in December 2000. The main objective was to create something different yet to fit in with the way drinking and dining is changing. It has become a successful and established bar and restaurant, offering customers a choice of a regular selection of some 45 beers together with a selection of special beers. The menu is based on serving only the best products available freshly prepared daily, at realistic prices, in an informal relaxed "friends and family" atmosphere. It provides more than just the meal or drink but a whole Belgian experience. We had a lovely lunch- food was very tasty and good value. Service was excellent- the waitress was attentive but also gave us time… we never felt rushed and enjoyed just being there! A really good experience- it felt special. We will definitely be coming back!

A place of great character, with an astonishing selection of beers. The food is very good. Some dishes are done a little better than others, but overall a very good menu of perfectly edible dishes. Service is very efficient, friendly and helpful.

A warm friendly welcome. We had a great table in the window. We chose from the lunch menu and started with mussels in a wine sauce, absolutely delicious and then homemade fish cake with pea purée, again delicious and well presented. I don’t usually have a pudding but I’m glad I did! Chocolate mousse and passion fruit sorbet, they complimented each other. We were offered canapés which were yummy and had homemade bread with the meal. Good wine selection and fabulous service. What a treat in Norwich and a pretty part of the city. Will definitely be back very soon
