Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous Fried Chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. The rest of the South is well represented as well with a Carolina pulled pork sandwich, chicken and waffles, crispy fried oysters and a pimiento cheese & sausage biscuit sandwich with a fried egg and cheddar grits.

Oma's Hideaway is a vibrant, maximalist restaurant inspired by the life and spirit of Chef Thomas Pisha Duffly's grandmother, Kiong Tien “Tina” Vandenberg. Her ability to adapt, to make the most out of limited resources, and to stay creative while projecting warmth and brightness is the guiding force behind Oma’s Hideaway.Born during the pandemic as a pop-up in the Gado Gado parking lot, Oma’s became a permanent beacon of iridescent light in Portland’s Richmond neighborhood in 2021.     Great food and really nice service - went for our anniversary, staff were able to move us from the counter to a table and also sent us home with some cookies to help make our anniversary celebration more special. Definitely recommend!

    It had been awhile since our last visit, but the meals were superb and service staff stellar. A great way to celebrate V-day with the one I love. Must say, though the prices were slightly elevated, the portions were very satisfying. We were glad that 20-years later, it still has maintained its high quality dining.

    We have started to become regulars at this restaurant. The food and service never cease to amaze us. We enjoy certain dishes on the regular menu like the stuffed salmon. However they always create new dishes for the season. Plus they have an awesome happy hour menu. We will continue to dine here on a regular basis.

    We had a really memorable dinner with our 12 year old daughter who loved the pizza. The menu variety offered something for everyone. The preparation of the gnocchi (2 large rather than the smaller finger-sized) was a neat and delicious twist and the skirt steak was cooked perfectly. Our server had spot-on wine recommendations that paired nicely with our meals. Excited for a return visit.
