When visiting the restaurant, patrons descend 18 feet underground in a canopied glass elevator, accessed from street level, for a culinary experience unlike any other. The American Steakhouse offers an expansive 1,800 square foot subterranean courtyard allowing patrons to dine al fresco and enjoy a New Orleans-inspired exterior space. This cool oasis is complete with a 20 foot, 5-tiered granite water wall, multi-tiered landscaping, lava rock fire pit, and black granite bar. Dakota's below-ground patio has long been considered one of the city's most romantic dining spots.We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That’s why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks. Anna was amazing! She knows her stuff and the staff was really fantastic at making you feel valued. The food selection is one of the best at an upscale restaurant. The have everything from seafood to beef Wellington and lamb. The tater tot app is very good and worth the value. Best Beef Wellington I’ve had to date as well! We will be back!

Met friends for lunch for our first visit here and we were all very happy with the food, atmosphere and service! We will definitely return! Didn't go up to the rooftop but I'm sure the view towards downtown would be good. Highly recommend!
