The menu also features amazing appetizers, salads, and coastal pastas to complement our wide selection of steaks, chops, seafoods and amazing sharable plates. The locale is modeled after the great grills of New York and The Hamptons offering beautiful views of the Marjorie Reservoir, vaulted ceilings, and a rustic natural elegance. Our philosophy is simple. We wanted to create a place where our guests and co-workers are happy to be. Our food is procured locally as much as possible, and our culinary mantra is to buy good products and treat them with respect. This mantra is also reflected in our service model. We aren’t a stuffy “fine dining” restaurant, and we want all our guests to feel comfortable and spoiled when dining with us.

Our menu and theme of the restaurant is inspired by taking classics and adding a modern flare. We renovated a classic American building with contemporary design inside. The menu is taken from classic recipes, sourced locally and given a twist. The items will be familiar yet distinct. You will find presentation to be clean and simple. Our beverage program is an experience in itself. Our historic bar will transport you back in time, and our bartenders will guide you on a journey of crafted cocktails, wines and draft beer. Market Place Kitchen and Bar is a traditional American restaurant, operating with a theme of preparing all cuisines with organic and sustainable ingredients. The restaurant has a decent wooden décor, constructed with 300-years old barn wood from Brook Field's farm. Market Place Kitchen and Bar has a full-service banquet with modern business facilities for corporate events and meetings. Alex Lowe, the executive chef, has prepared a healthy menu for guests in Market Place Kitchen and Bar. Surf and turf is the specialty meal here. It is prepared with pork belly meat braised in duck fat for four hours. It is served with apple marmalade, caramelized scallops and house made kale chips. The ‘famous rigatoni Bolognese GF' pasta is prepared with sweet Italian sausage, milk-fed veal, pomodoro tomato cream, fresh ricotta, grana padano parmigiano cheese and fine herbs. The bar serves a variety of European wines and tap beers.

    Four of us went to Market Place in Newtown for a much-needed Ladies Night Out. The drinks were delicious, we all enjoyed our meals immensely (2 bowls, salmon and short ribs) and the two wait staff who attended to our table were attentive, but not intrusive. Most importantly, being a Ladies Night Out, we never once felt rushed or like we were being pushed out. The evening was perfect with great food and drink, great conversations and great friends - Oh - and the Salted Caramel cake is not to be missed! Market Place will definitely be added to our regular rotation.

    We enjoyed a absolutely delicious meal, This Restaurant has an excellent Menu, an outstanding cocktail menu, and great ambiance. We went on a Thursday evening and had very good service, however from what I have heard you may need to allow extra time for service on Friday and Saturday nights when they are busy. I would say the food is worth any lack of fast service My advice is to immediately order a cocktail or glass of wine and an appetizer so if they are very busy when you order your meal you can sit back an enjoy your time there. We loved their choice of music and everyone was very friendly. We WILL go back.
