BRINE, known for fresh oysters, crudo, and prime cut chops, is Caswell Restaurant Group’s second foray into the eclectic and innately New England dining scene of Newburyport, MA. Proprietor Nancy Batista-Caswell’s appreciation of the local harvest and her affinity for European classics results in a restaurant devoted to flavorful seafood—ceviche, crudo, sashimi, and beyond—and butcher chops, with a healthy dose of Spanish and Italian influences throughout the menu. The main attractions at BRINE are backed up by soups, salads, Po-Boys, and “off the page” daily specials to provide plenty of variety.This neighborhood hangout welcomes all and leaves pretension at the door.     It was a nice evening. We went for Valentines dinner. Down Side it was a Prix Fixe. The selections were ok, but nothing that stood out. The beef Wellington was cooked to perfection. The fish was as bland as could be even with the stuff they put on top of it. It came with three sides, one was simply a baked potatoes cut in slices? The worst part for us was the gosh awful music? Super bad choice for a romantic dinner. Waitress was great! Will try it one more time. But there are a lot of great places to eat around this area.

    Really great restaurant! The patio is well heated, though chilly by the windows in winter. Great food- I got the scallops, my husband got the filet! Both were great! Great for date night

    Very please with our visit to Sea Level. It was our first time eating here but certainly not our last. Everything was perfect from the time we walked in the door to the amazing food and service.

    Pear and walnut salad was absolutely outstanding. Sat upstairs overlooking downstairs which was beautiful. No toilet paper in the bathroom and our server was meh.
