The Grand Marlin Restaurant features a main dining area with a shucked to order oyster bar, exterior North Drop Bar overlooking the beautiful Santa Rosa Sound, and private meeting rooms. This Pensacola Beach restaurant, with an air of island casualness, serves the highest-quality cuisine, including the freshest local seafood featured on menus designed and printed daily to take advantage of the local bounty. The atmosphere creates a fusion of the Caribbean and the Pensacola Bay Area. Executive Chef Gregg McCarthy has a passion for great-tasting food and particularly loves working his culinary magic with fresh Gulf Coast seafood. Boaters and beach-goers feel comfortable in shorts and flip-flops at the oyster bar, in the dining room and at the North Drop Bar. The Grand Marlin has a space and atmosphere for all occasions and is looking forward to creating an authentic experience between time and tide.

We pay tribute to the rugged individualism of Pensacola’s unique historic cultural significance, specifically its Spanish influence. Real and super-rustic, the kitchen presents Old World cookery at its roots, with all the layers peeled back. Brother Fox utilizes a live-fire approach to cooking almost everything that we serve, from coal-roasted oysters to Carne Asada for two, served with hot tortillas.     Beautiful restaurant, great food we arrived early and got to enjoy the live music at the bar upstairs while we waited, got an anniversary dessert in the house, such a nice touch

    I wasn’t blown away by the menu. I think somethings were over priced or if they were worth it but the description wasn’t super helpful. Both cocktails we tried were good which was the clover and the banana brûlée. Burgers were good but i didnt realize it came with these loaded potato things with sauce on them…. Also the burger had a house sauce but wasn’t sure what that was either. The tomato, bread things was hard to eat but the paste tasted good. Just the bread was too hard. I think the place is too new and may need to rework somethings. They were too busy to answer phones or give us more info on the menu. I love the building and the inside decor was good but overall Im not sure I’d give them a round 2. Menu needs a lot more work.

    Drift was a very lovely dining experience with a flavor suitable for anyone palette! Their staff is very friendly and Chef Jose was so accommodating. The food is exceptional, and the Citrus Seabass was magnificent. The ambiance is warm and very intimate feeling with a stunning view of the water, a truly lovely establishment for any local or vacationer!
