Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Homemade house guacamole, or one of the many soup or salad options, make for a great starter. The entree options are plentiful. Casa Vega serves everything from traditional chicken mole, a plethora of burrito options, combination plates and specialty options, such as carne chile Colorade and the signature Casa Vega molcajete.     Was a great brunch . Got there early before the easy flow of the crowd showed up . Had amazing Truffle sashimi (of corse) Caesar salad ( save the sauce from the truffle sashimi and put it on the Caesar salad . Fire!! Shakshuka Truffle fries Cinnamon roll pancakes Toasted Almond iced coffee Just perfect Was the 3 of us & we all shared ! So good 10/10

    I loved everything about my experience, great drinks, amazing service, good atmosphere. I’d give 5 stars across the board but wish they had more vegan and gluten free options. I ended up just having a salad which was good but wasn’t enough for a dinner (adding nuts or mushrooms would have been nice but wasn’t available). Lastly parking with validation for a just shy of 4 hours was $37. That is ridiculous.

    My first time here. Beautiful restaurant. Very inviting. Great ambiance. Staff is extremely friendly and very efficient. Food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Out waiter was Zack and he was great! We are coming back in December for our Christmas celebration. So glad my daughter recommended this restaurant! She also likes coming here.

    A beautiful seamless evening celebrating a birthday. Layla, our server was amazing! Warm and attentive. My filet mignon and my partner’s short ribs were outstanding. Roasted brussel sprouts were one of my favorites! Gorgeous view, we will be back very soon.
