Ok, we do chicken, but our chicken is famous!Our local free-to-roam chicken is marinated for 24 hours in lemon, buttermilk, and paprika. White’s is a large building with several areas. We enjoyed a drink in the beer hall before going through to the tavern for food. We had the arancini to start, which was very tasty. For our mains I had the steak sambo and my wife had the stew. I really enjoyed my meal. The steak was well cooked and had very little fat but what made it was the horseradish type gravy that came with it. I put this over the steak and mixed it into my mash. Stunning. My wife enjoyed her stew but was hoping it had come out hotter than it did, but she did say it was full of flavour.
