The Old Quay House is uniquely located on the edge of the RSPB Hayle Estuary, with its beautiful views and wildlife to enjoy. We offer a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for couples and families alike. Children are sure to enjoy our large garden with it's fun play area, whilst you sit and enjoy a chilled out drink. We are open daily from 11.30am, serving lunch from 12pm and dinner from 6pm (times may change during busy periods - food not served all day). Our menu includes a great selection of traditional and contemporary English dishes, including pie of the day, fish & chips, as well as several scrumptious fish dishes like seafood kebabs. During lunchtime you can also choose from lighter options like sandwiches and salads.We also have a children's menu to select from, as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.     A good Sunday lunch can be subjective and very much down to be personal opinion but I would defy anyone to find anything better in St Ives. Everything was perfectly cooked, well presented and the portions were generous. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and somewhere I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

    Gorgeous visit! Such a delicious meal- we shared some of the small plates and everything was so yum! Our little one enjoyed the pizza. Such kind and attentive staff. A really lovely evening- we can’t wait to visit again! Highly recommend if you’re looking for really tasty food, a good variety and children’s options!

    Highly recommend the Ugly Butterfly. Everything about the meal was amazing: the ethos, the team and the concept of the experience. The food was amazing and the service exceptional. It was such a polished presentation of an incredible meal with superb wines.

    Our 4th visit to Porthminster Beach Café and yet again we had a fabulous meal. Excellent quality choices in fabulous surroundings. Great wines to choose from to accompany the food and a very attentive team on hand. And the fact that you get such a high standard venue which is also v dog friendly means 5 stars all the way. We'll be back!
