Robun is a tribute to Japanese author Kanagaki Robun and his 1872 book Seiyō ryōritsū, which introduced Western barbecue to Japan.Our modern-day interpretation of Yakiniku specialises in sharing plates of beautiful robata grilled dished large plates fused with elements from across Asia, paired with inspired cocktails and an extensive choice of Japanese whiskeys or sake in the most inviting and sociable of settings.Alongside our innovative selection of sashimi, salads and small plates, our fresh sushi is served in a variety of creative incarnations including soft-shell crab futomaki roll with kimchi mayo and a tobiko-topped nigiri.Upstairs in the Kanagaki Suite, we provide an events space and cocktail bar set to host celebrations and events. Upstairs at Landrace is a casual neighbourhood bar & bistro, our food is led by ingredients which are carefully sourced from local farms and market gardens, we work with producers who have a natural approach to growing and use regenerative, high welfare farming techniques. The menu regularly features handmade pasta, line-caught Cornish fish and meat from Haye Farm in Devon, and Huntsham Farm in Herefordshire.You can join us for a quick plate of pasta at lunchtime or a longer celebratory meal with friends & family in the evening. Our menu changes regularly, you can find sample menus updated weekly on our website.The wine/cider list changes regularly, focusing on small European growers and makers. All our wines have been made following low intervention organic/biodynamic practices. We also pour many local naturally made ciders and perrys.     Wow we were so impressed. Every thing about our service and food was 10/10. We arrived early and were happy to grab a drink or 2 at the bar but our table was ready. Therefore we ate before planned and wow. We searched and searched for a lovely roast in Bath and I’m so glad we came across this place. The beef, roasties, sides, service.. nothing could have been better. Highly recommend to anyone looking to book!

    Delicious food all-round and an extensive cocktail menu. I really loved my Lady Bridgerton! The mushroom risotto was particularly delicious - an excellent veggie option! Service was outstanding - so welcoming, efficient and professional. They couldn’t do enough for us! The live pianist really added to the ambience - his repertoire was excellent and he’s a brilliant singer too. This aspect made our evening so special as well as the first class food.

    Our second time at Robun. We chose the sharing menu between 3 of us. Highly recommended! Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Such a special Japanese restaurant in Bath. And not a chain too. Only criticism was it was a bit chilly last night in the restaurant. It had been snowing yesterday so was our first very cold day. Maybe a little more heating!

    What a delightful restaurant for our last dinner in the UK. Food was delicious!!, service great, and the atmosphere of an old pub was perfect. We ordered the Griffin Autumn salad with smoked chicken - cooked to perfection, and the salad flavors were perfect, and the Chicken Ale pie, which was tasty also. Highly recommend this place for a dinner out of the crowds ... but be sure to make reservations, as they were quite busy.
