Pop’s career in the fish and chip business started in 1952 when, aged 11, he got a job on Roman Road cutting up copies of The Daily Mirror to wrap fish and chips in. With decades of experience behind him, ‘Pop’ founded Poppie’s. The food is always amazing here. We went for the Christmas Special. Had such a great time with the Christmas Crackers and little party favours. Absolutely recommend!

We went to this place because it looked nice and lively from the outside. Upon entering it maintained that ambiance which is a pleasant experience. What lured me was the menu and I was looking for good bar food/bbq. This was authentically really reminding me of American Food, I ordered the sirloin steak. The service was really prompt, friendly and welcoming. Would come back again if I am in the Camden area.

We celebrated my son's 18th here after a fantastic day in Camden he loves Fish and chips so we thought it would be a good option and we weren't wrong! The food was fresh and delicious and the service outstanding. They made a real fuss of him and we all had a great time! I would highly recommend Poppies!
