Flesh & Buns Covent Garden, from the team behind Bone Daddies and Shackfuyu, is located within the bustling Seven Dials area in Covent Garden. Inspired by Japanese izakayas, roughly translated as a pub or place designed for informal eating and drinking, Flesh & Buns is the first restaurant in London to specialise in gua bao buns (DIY filled steamed buns). The food was delicious, the service friendly and the s’mores came with a sparkler because it was my birthday :-) the tables were quite close together and it was moderately noisy because it had lots of people in, but we loved the bustling atmosphere.

Could not fault the service, the setting, or the food. Husband said it was the best venison he had ever had. Huge wine list - knowledgeable sommelier. A lot of French wine. Obviously not a cheap eat at all - 3course meal for 2 with bottle of wine, and 2glasses English sparkling came to £400.
