Chapter One is an award-winning Modern European restaurant with 3 AA Rosettes in Orpington, Kent. Following a major refurbishment in early 2019, Chapter One has relaunched with a more modern approach, tempting guests with greater variety and quality.Under the direction of acclaimed chef Andrew McLeish, modern European cooking is available in two formats. In the Restaurant, sophisticated seasonal dishes are served in a refined setting with a weekly changing 3-course Lunch Menu du Jour, a seasonally-inspired 7-course Tasting Menu and an a la carte option. Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Herne Hill restaurant in 2021, and since have become an institution in Herne Hill's small but awesome food scene. Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers.
