You’ll find Plate at No. 6 down a cobbled lane in the heart of Windsor, nestled amongst the pubs and boutiques of the old town. The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace. A unique little restaurant with a good vibe. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Mains were reasonably priced but sides felt expensive for the size portion (red cabbage for example). The meat eaters enjoyed their mains (pork belly/chicken supreme) but I wouldn’t recommend place for vegetarians. Only one main (celeriac steak) that really wasn’t very nice. I’ve been vegetarian for 25plus years and don’t consider myself picky but I couldn’t finish it. I would go back if the vegetarian options were improved/more diverse.

Wow! The most fabulous food, service superb! Great special offer on champagne £5 for good size glass, which of course we took up. Plus buy one get one free on cocktails! Would highly recommend, restaurant was packed and there was a great energy and vibe!

Not sure how long The Beehive has been under new ownership and converted to an Indian fusion restaurant but I have to say the experience was excellent, service, food and overall setting. Rather quiet on a Wednesday lunchtime but it was well worth the visit.
