After 25 years of success, we changed the name in 2000 to Gilbey's, having recognised that our food had outgrown the original wine bar concept. As always the food (especialy the Christmas specials) is excellent however the last couple of visits have been marred by the slow service today with having only mains taking over 90 mins from sitting down to our plates being cleared and then only after asking for the bill. Disappointing and will have to avoid for business lunches in the future.

After a bit of a disaster the previous week (documented below), Aly the area manager rang me up the next day to apologise, and ordered to put the situation right That he certainly did, we had an amazing meal, all the food was as excellent as it should be, with great service. Delighted with our experience, and how important it was to Aly that we enjoyed ourselves. The cheese board was the stand out hit, a work of art , but all our dishes were great (mainly vegetarian, and the chicken kebab), Will be back when the new menu arrives
