The Assembly House is a gorgeous Georgian gem perfectly located in the heart of Norwich. We set out to create the kind of establishment we'd love to find in one of the UK's most beautiful cities, one where old-fashioned hospitality is valued, food is delicious and where beautiful surroundings can be found hidden around every corner.From breakfast where we serve our unique Beforenoon Tea - the breakfast edition of afternoon tea - to lunch which includes Assembly House classics and grazing boards, we're open seven days a week. We're most famous for our themed afternoon teas which change regularly and are served from noon until last service at 3.30pm daily. As the Home of Afternoon Tea, we also serve some spectacular savoury versions of tea, including Beforenoon Tea, seafood option Afternoon Sea and our cheese-based option Afternoon Cheese. Please let us know your dietary adaptations for vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free or vegetarian teas at least 24 hours in advance.

Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore.     This was our first visit to the lodge. We were really impressed. A lovely big restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. There seemed to be a lot of staff about. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was very well cooked and they had good sized portions. A really nice place I am sure we will be back.

    Lovely experience. We had the Peter Pan afternoon tea and it was delicious! We also loved the added touch that £1 per afternoon tea is donated to St Ormond Street Hospital! The display was lovely with lots of fun details. We went on Valentine’s Day and it wasn’t too loud or crowded. We were celebrating a birthday and we received a birthday card and a little chocolate treat with a candle in on the arrival of our tray. Staff were polite and attentive. Highly recommend.

    Hi I had a good time and would of given 5 star but because we had been out on table by the stairs toilets etc I had people pushing my chair and bashing into me constantly I did ask to be moved but was told as you can see we are fully booked and no alternative seating available This did spoil our evening and to be totally honest we left earlier than anticipated and we would of preferred to of spent our money elsewhere
