Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. We came here a year and a half ago and I have been craving the baked eggs with goats cheese ever since! Today we ordered that (obviously), eggs Benedict with spinach and mushrooms, a green juice to round it out, coffee, snd a flat white. Everything was as delicious as I remembered and our next stay in Edinburgh will include a repeat visit!

Lovely food, and excellent service. Alvaro was our waiter today. He was attentive without hovering which I prefer. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and efficient. We were able to sit over our meal and take our time so it was a really great afternoon. Food came nicely presented and hot straight from the kitchen, servings were decent, and as described on the menu. Facilities were clean and well maintained. An extremely enjoyable experience - thank you.

Probably the best breakfast I had in Edinburgh. The haggis was amazing. Eggs scrambled and cooked perfectly. Service was attentive. Must visit.
