Built in the early 17th century, this grade two listed pub is the oldest coaching inn in Frodsham, originally having stabling for 23 horses. The stables can still be seen opposite the rear of the pub, as can the coach house with its large white doors.Known at the time as The King's Head the name was changed when Queen Victoria came to the throne in 1837.

Lunch Menu - Two Courses for £35 / Three Courses for £40We are an independent restaurant in the heart of Chester offering microseasonal dining with menus designed around what's growing on our farm in Daresbury. Menus change every four to six weeks. Please note we are currently card-only and unable to accept cash. Meat / Game / Pescatarian / Vegetarian / Vegan / GF / DF- - -If your preferred time is not available please make a note on your reservation and we will try our best to accommodate you in the event of a cancellation. A new, growing-led “British Tapas” restaurant from the teams behind Chef's Table and Growing @Field 28. The menu features an inventive and daily-changing selection of vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish and game plates, each dish is crafted from Field 28's daily harvest of pesticide and biocide-free heritage produce and specialist leaf, served alongside a selection of hand-crafted cordials, cocktails and wines. Lunch Offer : 3 Plates for £20, served at lunch Thursday-Saturday. Please note we are a separate restaurant to Chef's Table. Combining amazing, wild, sustainable ingredients from land and sea into sumptuous creations that form really memorable eating experiences. We focus on British ingredients, as local to Chester. Our venison, always a hugely popular part of our menus, is harvested from herds on estates that focus on improving biodiversity and deer health – a process we call Farming the Wild.
