Minimalists and speed-eaters, avert your eyes. Rhubarb has arrived in all its opulent, theatrical, lingering glory. Set in twenty acres of gorgeous parkland yet a short drive from the Royal Mile, Rhubarb and its hotel home, Prestonfield, are the creation of James Thomson. Black-kilted porters escort you to Rhubarb's two oval Regency dining rooms decorated in baroque splendour, with giant chandeliers, silk wall coverings, and ancestral portraits. The menu, created by chef John McMahon, uses classic techniques and modern inspiration to transform ingredients into sublime grub. Popular dishes include the Gewurztraminer poached foie gras, the breast of Loue chicken on tarragon risotto, and the assiette of rhubarb desserts. There are more than five hundred wines to choose from, and more than one hundred malts.

Located on the top floor of the Main Stand at Edinburgh's iconic Tynecastle Park Stadium. Sit back and relax as our team proudly present a celebration of seasonal ingredients and flavours in our recently renovated premises. From starters to desserts, every dish has been carefully crafted to showcase excellent local produce. We’re a family-friendly restaurant with children’s menus available.Since opening in 2020, we’ve become a favourite to locals and visitors alike - recently claiming a place in OpenTable's UK Top 100 Restaurants for 2023 and winning Best Restaurant in the 2023 Radio Forth Awards. Bringing 1940s Paris to modern-day Edinburgh, Café St Honoré restaurant is a charming bistro serving up traditional French cuisine (with a few Scottish favourites thrown in) to a loyal clientele. Tucked away on a picturesque cobbled lane in the New Town, the cosy dining room at Café St Honore, with mirrored walls and black-and-white tiled floors, provides an atmospheric retreat.     Absolutely outstanding from start to finish! From the minute we walked in staff greeted us with a smile and couldn't be more helpful. Great hospitality, food was absolutely amazing! Best meal we've had in a long time, food was outstanding. Honestly can't rate this place enough, now recommended it to all I know. Restaurant was spotless and was so tranquil. Thank you for making it a lovely night from start to finish. Definitely our new place to dine and look forward to coming back.

    Confession - Im not a huge steak fan but have tolerated more than a few steak restaurants in my life, since my husband loves it. This was simply the best steak meal I have ever had. Cooked to perfection, divine sauce (red wine and blue cheese, fries and green beans that were the best I’ve ever tasted. I couldn’t fault a thing.. Staff were great, amusing and we felt ……..honest about the steak cuts. Not too much information - just enough to feel you were making an informed choice,. And the choosing of you steak knife was novel. Not cheap but a lovely place for a special meal, quality ingredients, expertly prepared. Next time my husband wants a steak restaurant, I know where I’ll be wanting to go. Thank you Kyloe!
