Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. Higher Ground is a bistro and bar located in Manchester city centre that focuses on seasonality within the UK using produce sourced from local suppliers and producers. We went for a friend's birthday. We were able to chat without being rushed. One friend is coeliac and the manager came to ensure her order was done safely, double checking everything very professionally. A lovely evening, great food and a good choice of non alcoholic drinks.
