Itihaas restaurant in Birmingham is one stunning eaterie. This beautiful restaurant —the name means ‘history’ -- is the £2 million brainchild of businessman Raj Rana and it’s been raking in awards since it opened its doors. It was amazing, people are friendly and warm welcoming. We were served by Shahid and he is a real gentleman. It was our marriage Anniversary and they even celebrated that at last, which was a very nice gesture! Had been in this place before and experiences are always nice!

We had the tasting menu with a few swaps as we don’t eat red meat. We ate lots of new and exciting foods which were beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. Each dish came with a detailed explanation and we didn’t have to wait long for each course to arrive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I just wish I’d realised it was a dog friendly restaurant as we could have shared this wonderful experience with our pet.

The service and quality of food are outstanding. Although the restaurant was quiet at lunchtime there was a comfortable ambience. All the staff were able to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Lovely Time. Food Was Good. Starters was lovely. A Little Dissappointed With The Sanpei Chicken For The Main, it was bland and the chicken tasted boiled. no flavour. however the Nyonya Lamb was delicious

We were fortunate enough to have Akhtar on service. Our overall experience was superb from the moment we entered Opheem. We have eaten at numerous Michelin starred restaurants throughout the country. Opheem is certainly as good as any. Front of house and serving staff are excellent and prepared to go the extra mile. Loved it! We’ll be back.
