The candlelit restaurant with its huge inglenook fireplace is a wonderful venue for everything from a romantic dinner for two to a family lunch.In the warmer months lunch is also served in the more relaxed atmosphere of the Conservatory and Terrace. And the hotel's inner courtyard offers a discreet spot for al fresco dining. Private dining for parties or business meetings is available in The Spread Eagle's private dining rooms rooms.The Spread Eagle Gin Bar offers more than 100 different gins - some more unusual than others - and over 12 different tonics on offer, guests can create their own gin journey and complete their cocktail from a menu of fresh garnishes, many home-grown from the hotel garden.

"Amberley Castle has a long held reputation for delivering outstanding cuisine.Enjoyed on the first floor of the castle in either the magnificent Queen's Room, with its barrel-vaulted ceiling dating back to the 12th century and open fire or The Great Room, built-in 1165 by Bishop Luffa of Chichester, a fine example of Norman architecture with its high lancet windows, open fireplace, oak flooring, tapestry and suits of armour.The dress code for the dining room is smart casual. Welcome to La Follia Caffè, our small slice of Italy. Beautiful, seasonal ingredients and the best coffee - nestled at the foot of the rolling South Downs, amongst the mix-century world of antique and vintage shop, Lamb & Newt. Our Cicchetti (small plates) are as big in flavour as they are small. Our hand made focaccia is sublime and the base for all our Sarnis and Toasties.
