Welcome to The Rose InnThe Rose Inn is located in the beautiful rural area of North Warwickshire in the village of Baxterley with stunning views over Leicestershire, Birmingham and on into the far distance. The Rose sits opposite the site of the old Baddesley colliery, behind the village green and duck pond with an orchard and large relaxing area overlooking the pond. Originally believed to be a 'Gentleman's residence', the building dates back to the 18th century and has served as a courthouse, jail, mortuary and for more than a hundred years as a public house.

Located in Grand Central train station, Pho is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant that specialise in pho noodle soup, the national dish of Vietnam. Aside from pho, you can also expect to find amazing sharing starters, healthy salads, hearty rice bowls and decadent curries. They have a range of freshly made juices and also Vietnamese beers and a large wine and cocktail list. Pho’s menu is 40% vegan and nearly entirely gluten-free too. McKee's Brasserie has become the gourmet headquarters for Balsall Common villagers and foodies from neighbouring Coventry and Solihull. With its themed menu nights and cooking club classes, McKee's restaurant attracts locals as well as business types from the Birmingham airport and tourists from Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle. The warm and inviting coffee and caramel toned dining room is traditional with its candlelit tables and low-lit lamps, and treats from the restaurant's modern Brit menu include the tiger prawn salad in a lime, coriander, lemon, soy and garlic dressing; the half a duck served with leek and strips of bacon topped with port sauce; and the warm brownie served with berries and pistachio ice cream.

    Food was good but I thought it was cheeky that they add a charity donation to your bill without asking. They also add 12.5% service charge (not an issue but let the people know). Drinks are a bit pricy (non alcaholic). 2 people- lunch menu a drink each (not boozy) and 1 additional starter cost over 75 quid.

    Absolutely loved our visit! Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Staff are amazing and attentive with allergens. We were served by Hoa and she was wonderful, she told us the best ways to eat/enjoy the traditional dishes, checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our food and was incredibly friendly, smiley and attentive! Thank you so much Hoa and team for a wonderful lunch!

    The food was once again fantastic, we were a table of 7 booked last minute for 5:30 when the kitchen closes at 6pm and the roast dinner was still outstanding. The other food that we ordered was too of course. We love it here!
