The service was premier. The steak was delicious; perfectly grilled to medium rare. My only quibble was with the sautéed spinach. Not very sautéed; just a bunch of mostly dry spinach leaves.

My wife had the steak Diane and I had the Delmonico ribeye. Done exactly right and the steaks were juicy and flavorful. Our waiter, Justin, was very helpful and we appreciated his input. Also had shrimp cocktail with the traditional sauce and an additional guacamole sauce, which was fantastic!  We will be back.

Just a fantastic time, great food, environment and service

Our first visit to J J’s as we live in St. Louis. Attractive interior, welcoming atmosphere, terrific food, 5-star service from Dana, helpful staff, noteworthy menu and wine list. Our best ever dining experience in Kansas City!

My experience this time was much better than my previous visit. Drink service at the table was still very slow and even had to ask the server again if they had forgotten a drink order. It's a shame as the drinks were top notch and I really enjoy them as they are so good. The food was good and when it came time for desert, our server had disappeared. We eventually did find another server to order our desert order and then proceeded to wait what I would say was an extended period. When our order did arrive, the deserts were also exquisite. The Creme' Brule' is wonderful and I highly recommend.
