Wonderfully attentive staff, great food (the bread is amazing btw) and warm festive atmosphere

Having moved from London, we were unsure how Hawksmoor NYC could live up to a traditional English roast. In truth, it didn’t just live up up to it. It exceeded it. Relaxed atmosphere and excellent service made us feel at home. Only area they could improve on; the people running the bar out front have some work to do on making people feel welcome. They could learn a lot from the restaurant staff.

Fantastic NYC OG steakhouse. Beautiful setting and ambiance and superb food. All of our selections were excellent from the salads to the sea bass, lamb, and delectable bone in Rib Eye. Their steaks are dry aged and cooked exactly to orders. Don’t miss out on this NYC gem!

They were busy, I mean frenetically busy being one of the few places open for Christmas dinner in NYC. Understandably, we were seated at 7:00 for a 6:30 reservation for party of 6. Once seated, we were attended to promptly but never rushed. Waiter, Genci (?) was knowledgeable and guided us when we had questions. Both the rib eye and filet mignon were cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks we had especially for serving such a large crowd. Meal was truly memorable and nice finish to the day.

If you want a real treat, look no further. From the wonderfully presented drinks at the bar, to the amazing waiting staff (shout out to Toni) to the sumptuous food, we couldn’t fault it. The ambience was old school. We shared a seafood platter for 4 to start. It was 10/10. 2 of us had the lamb chops (best I’ve ever tasted) & 2 had the steaks (delicious) and we ordered creamed spinach and whipped potatoes. We had just enough room for deserts and coffee. We never felt rushed and nothing was too much trouble. What a wonderful dining experience we had.
