We opened The 3rd BluWater Bistro location in the Leschi neighborhood on March 13, 2004. Mick McHugh handed the reigns over to us after 22 successful years of running the Leschi Lake Café. With a slight remodel we cozy'd up the place, added some fantastic rollback windows, high back booths, some flat screen TV's, and leather furniture by the fireplace. We were there on day 1 of a massive WA power outage.where most of east side seattle was experiencing a blackout and the few restaurants that were open had a 90 mins wait and frazzled skeleton staff. We drive around for a while and decided to make a last attempt at Redmond Town center and see if we could find a decent place with a reasonable wait. you never would have known this was all happening based on our experience at Matt’s. We were greeted and seated promptly. The staff were so cheerful and we were very hungry and our server took our order right away. I had the halibut fish tacos. Delicious and substantial pieces of fish in the 2 tacos. My friend enjoyed her steak bites and fries. I hadn’t been to Matt’s in years but will return after this experience.
