If you are looking for top-tier, unforgettable sushi, look no further! From the moment I took my first bite, I could tell this restaurant prioritizes freshness and quality above all else. The fish was incredibly fresh, with flavors that were vibrant and pure. Each piece was carefully crafted right in front of you balancing texture, taste, and presentation. The spicy tuna hand roll was absolutely outstanding, with perfectly seasoned rice that complemented the delicate, buttery fish. The nigiri was excellent as well, the presentation and friendliness of staff made the experience even better. Beyond the sushi, the atmosphere was live and inviting. The service was attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear this place takes pride in every detail, from the sourcing of ingredients to the delivery of the food. If you’re a sushi lover, this spot is an absolute must visit. It is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared!

Our food was amazing as always! Our server Sean was outstanding! He was fast knowledgeable and took great care of us. The steak and salmon melted in your mouth. The teriyaki chicken and spare ribs were cooked perfectly. A must-have is the gyozas and tatsuta age chicken appetizer. They are a classic and some of the best things to eat there. We have been coming to Kyoto since the early 90s, and it was amazing then, and still amazing now...

We (my husband and I), had a fabulous dining experience at the Blind Dog! Our server, "Jackson", was phenomenal! He was personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. He answered all of our questions about the menu, as well as other general questions we had. He was attentive, professional, and fun! We had some appetizers and ordered a bottle of wine, and we both enjoyed our entrees! There is a wonderful variety of options on the menu. We love the story about the blind dog "Rigger" and the owners sound like amazing people. Very nice to have gluten free options. The Bananas Foster Bread Pudding was the BEST I have ever had and the after dinner specialty coffee drinks were a fantastic compliment. The vibe was lively and comfortable, neat decor, cool bar, nice sushi bar, plus it was clean. Can't say enough great things about this place. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.
