Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Delicious food, service and atmosphere. Menu options for side dishes and salads were limited to chefs offerings for the evening and the overall price seemed a bit high. Very overall lovely dining experience and I recommend as one of the best dinners we’ve ever had in Cape May.

Always a five star experience at the Washington Inn. Our server Roxy was amazing. We've had her before. She's so sweet and attentive. Everything we ate was cooked perfectly and delicious. It is one of our Go to favorite places.

Delicious food and lots of it despite the cost. Some of the best drinks we’ve had in Cape May. It is part of a beautiful hotel. Our server, Vicki, was terrific. Very attentive. Would recommend.
