The OUTDOOR reservations area has been tastefully enclosed in clear insulated curtains that still provide a scenic river view and is well protected, well heated and honored all weather. Additionally we offer FIREPIT LOUNGE reservations in our large outdoor bar area and first come first served bar, hightop and lounge seating. Always happy with Black restaurants. Food was reliably excellent if not exceptional - we had blackened catfish and blackened shrimp. Service was attentive, congenial and responsive. Good value for increasingly expensive DC restaurant scene.

About what I expected. Excellent clam chowder - my test of a seafood restaurant. I would have liked to have seen a wider choice of fish on the menu, but the cod I had was very good.

The branzino was excellent. I really like the unusual sides of falafel and cucumber salad. My order was taken promptly, but I had to wait a long time to get my check, perhaps because I was a solo diner.
