Everything is true to the time period at King’s Arms Tavern, from the fashion sported by servers to the pewter candlesticks—all adding to an air of colonial elegance. Inspired by 18th-century recipes, but with updates to suit 21st-century tastes, tuck in to a chophouse menu featuring prime rib, pork chops, and more.ADA Accessible dining is available in the Purdie Kitchen. Please note this colonial building is separate from King’s Arms Tavern. Please check-in at the front, and our host will escort guests to the Purdie Kitchen.The taverns are located in the Historic Area, and not on a public street. The Tavern is a short walk from the Tavern Parking lot which is on Francis Street.

This high-energy bistro took over as Williamsburg's best restaurant as soon as it opened in 2003. Le Yaca began in 1964 in Courchevel, a tiny, country village in the French Alps. Daniele Bourderau & Gerard decided it would be fun to open a small restaurant. When friends learned of their plans, they told the hopeful restaurateurs they were crazy to think people would drive eight kilometers on a winding, icy road for dinner. Daniele and Gerard hesitated for three months and then decided, “yaca le faire,” a contraction of the French phrase “il n’y a qu’a le faire,” which basically means, “let’s do it.” They called the restaurant Le Yaca as a gag, but the name caught on with customers who were amused by the pun and contributed to the restaurant’s lore by inventing “yaca-isms” of their own: yaca y aller (let’s go). Daniele came to the United States and opened Le Yaca in Williamsburg. Daniel Abid bought Le Yaca in 2001. Daniel worked and trained in such prestigious places as “Le Pre Catelan” and “Lenotre” in Paris; “L’Amandier” and “Roger Verge," and to top it all off, “Alain Ducass

    A perfect romantic dinner! Nothing didn’t impress us here… the decor in the room, the live piano player, our waiter, the food… it was all meticulously executed. The cherry on top was the mini history story that our waiter gave us. Such a nice evening!

    We enjoyed celebrating our 46 wedding anniversary. The crab cakes were the largest and nicest I’ve ever eaten. The trout had a little more breading than he liked. The sweet potato muffins were perfection. The Irish flute entertainment was very enjoyable. Dining by candlelight was very romantic. This is an historic building and is not handicapped friendly. The restroom is downstairs. Parking is in the back and where you enter the drive is not obvious and down the street—hard to see after dark. The menu is historic style and fun to read. We love to eat here on every visit to Colonial Williamsburg. I make reservations several months in advance.

    Went to the Fall Tea for my mother's birthday and this was a wonderful experience. Ambience was beautiful, music was relaxing and not overwhelming. We do have a nut allergy which we let them know. Food was very good and they worked with our nut allergy to still provide a complete tea experience. The savory options were amazing and we loved the pumpkin scones. The sweets weren't as good as the savory options, but since they needed to replace multiple options due to our nut allergy, this was understandable. Our server, Nokia, was very sweet and helpful. Thanks for a spectacular afternoon.
