    We decided to take our two employees and their wives to Portland city grill for a memorable night. Overall the experience was average compared to other higher end restaurants in Portland. I just feel at that price point everything should be on point. Service wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great, the guys and I ordered three eye of the rib wagyu steaks, two medium and one medium rare and they came two medium rare and one so rare it was not even warm to the touch. I’ve had quite a few high end steaks and these were not exactly what I had in mind when I ordered. We ordered sides with our steaks and we had to wait on the sides. All in all I think they are just to busy for the staffing they have and or they need more help in the kitchen to have all the food ready to serve as it should be. Portland city grill has been on my list of restaurants to try but unfortunately I may have just set the bar too high for them. If your looking for a great atmosphere to enjoy good food and experience the 30 stories up above the city than sure go here. I just think they didn’t live up to the hype. If you’re looking for a unique experience with amazing food and service, go to ringside steakhouse.

    Lorelei served us in an excellent manner as our waitstaff! She anticipated our dining needs perfectly. Our meals were tasty & our panoramic view of Portland was beyond captivating!

    Ordered the “market price” lobster tail ($125!) which arrived overcooked to the point that after a couple chews, it turned into mealy mush in my mouth. They redid it, and the repeat was cooked perfectly on the outside, but by the time I reached the center it was transparent and gelatinous, nearly raw.

    We came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday. We had a good table with a decent view of the city. Our first waitress wasn’t so kind but that didn’t bother us. We noticed a window seat open up and it had been about 30 mins so I asked the host if we could move and she said “ YES!”. After that the evening got even better. Our waitress was fun and so kind! The view was absolutely amazing and the Christmas parade ships were out! We had great food, great service and wonderful experience!
