PRANZI is a Modern Northern Italian Restaurant located in downtown San Carlos, California. Featuring House made pastas, fresh baked bread and specialty dishes from both Northern Italian.     Awesome appetizer especially flatbread with arugula + prosciutto. The cocktail was spotted on. I tried Osso Bucco. I think it could have more savory but the ingredient was fresh and good quality veal. For dessert, both chocolate mousse and tiramisu were light and fluffy; right amount of sweetness.

    Our table of 5 enjoyed excellent freshly prepared entrees (shrimp ravioli, seafood risotto, veal piccata). Also fresh bread was delicious. It was the first dining experience at Pranzi for 4 of the guests who definitely will return again because the food, beverages, restaurant ambiance and table service were superb. Highly Recommended!

    We had a wonderful dinner with friends. The squid pasta with seafood was amazing. They subbed out potatoes for a little pasta with my veal dish and it was so delicious. We also loved the lasagna and the chocolate mousse dessert. Our waiter was excellent - personable, helpful, but not intrusive. Highly recommend!

    I love Pranzi, it's always a good experience. I had the veal piccata which was tender and flavorful and my colleague had the branzini which was cooked well and tasty. Plus a glass of sangiovese which makes for a good evening.

    New kitchen staff are not very good in terms of preparing a dishes, too much oil in food. Very disappointing for Pranzi. I have been a regular customer for years but food getting worse. Probably will not come back and will not recommend it.

    One of the worst dining experiences. The food was not good at all. My boyfriend had the ossobucco and it was so underdone that he felt it was unsafe to eat and didn’t eat a bite. The calamari appetizer was soggy and unflavorful. Someone else in our party had a seafood platter and all of the fish was overdone. It was an expensive meal and not at all up to par with any other restaurant in San Carlos. So disappointing
