Primo Grill is a chef driven Mediterranean by Northwest restaurant showcasing the best of local bounty. Local wild caught fish, meats from local farms and foraged produce feature from the grill and brick oven. Owners Chef Charlie McManus and Jacqueline Plattner offer a relaxed yet sophisticated experience with an emphasis on Washington wines and hand muddled artisanal cocktails.

                                                              It was a great experience overall. The food is top notch! I did however feel that the service wasn’t as good as it could’ve been, but it was satisfactory.

                                                              Every time we go here for dinner we are never disappointed, lovely variations available on the menu. This time 3 of us dined , we had excellent Swordfish, the Pork chop & a Shrimp Pasta Dish . Great vibrant atmosphere. Friendly server’s. Thank you Primo !

                                                              As usual, nobody ever cares that we have chosen Primo. They couldn't care less about us always bringing new friends/future paying customers. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, (now that Chris and Frankie are gone) will pay a bit of attention to you. No greeting. No welcome. No niceties. No smiles. No service. So tired of having to ask for menus, silverware, another drink... The female owner actually treats us like we are a burden on her. The food is great. The hospitality is ZERO. We now only go on Monday or Tuesday since that's when the owners are not there, but don't get me wrong, most employees follow her lead on how she treats the customers. S If you arrive at 3:50 and you are standing in front of their windows in the cold windy rain, don't expect to be brought inside. Again, NOBODY CARES THAT YOU ARE THERE. You will get this same treatment from your (so called) servers even when your group is the only 6-people in there. This week's visit may be THE LAST. Shame on them. I will miss the Thai curry mussels. Oh 1-more example: The female owner once told the 4 of us to take the table she offered or leave... in response to us pleasantly asking to sit at the bar. Yes. Truth!

                                                              Naomi was a terrific server for six boisterous academics. The Kamilche Mussels were, as always, delightful. Out-of-town companions luxuriated in the in-house pasta dishes. My lamb shank was perfect, fall-off-the-bone, and delightful. Each diner enjoyed an innovative cocktail.

                                                              Primo Grill represents some of the best Italian food that Tacoma has to offer. The prices are more than reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the sophistication of the dishes. Primo Grill is perfect for a fancy date night or just a family get together, and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for people who are new to the area.

                                                              Primo is consistent and reliable in the high quality of food and service. It's not the most imaginative cuisine, but it's solid new American cuisine, and the service is always impeccable.
