Housed in five historic buildings in downtown Louisville, Proof on Main is part of 21c Museum Hotels, the award-winning boutique hotel and restaurant group. Probably the best mussels we’ve ever had. My grilled wedge salad with chicken was fabulous! My husband really liked his bison burger. AND, delicious cocktails, and FABULOUS atmosphere!

Our Caesar salad was tasty but drenched with two much cheese and lettuce for the small plate. Both entrees and side were served cold and had to be returned. When the food came, the side was redelivered 10 minutes before the entrees. The redelivered entrees were warm-ish but not at a temperature that you would expect to have a filet mignon and a pork chop served. The filet was ordered medium and came medium well-well done. The waiter offered a free dessert as compensation for our poor experience that we declined. He brought out a bowl of cotton candy that we didn’t want or try. Not a restaurant we would recommend or return to.

Such an amazing meal and the best service. My best friend and I had dinner while our husbands were at an event in the hotel. We asked our server to help us space out our meal to match the event timeline. She was amazing - gave us great recommendations for each course and was so kind to let us have a leisurely diner. An all around great experience!

We got a last minute reservation for Valentine’s Day and didn’t know much about this place prior to our arrival! I have celiac and they had a great gluten free menu with lots of choices, also lots of house made pastas for the gluten eaters. The mussels app was to die for as was the swordfish! Great experience!! Definitely recommend

We've not eaten here in many years but, staying in the hotel, it was such an easy and enticing option. It's very hip for oldsters like we've become but we felt comfortable and well-treated. Brittany was fantastic. The steak, swordfish and gnochetti were fabulous. The spaghetti was 'OK', not bad at all, just not up to the standard set by the other entrees. Appetizers, salads and drinks were par excellence. Finally, the tiramisu was unique and delicious. Thanks for a wonderful, memorable evening!
