Prospect is from the team behind San Francisco's acclaimed Boulevard. Partners Nancy Oakes (James Beard award-winning chef/owner of Boulevard), Pam Mazzola and Kathy King, have created a restaurant that pays tribute to contemporary American cuisine. Whether it's a cocktail and a bite at the bar, a casual meal at the communal table, guests will receive exceptional hospitable service. A warm modern space in the heart of SOMA, Prospect has become an anchor for the community.
A separate dining room is available for private events.

    The food was simply not very good. Beef over cooked, broccollini burned to hell, and the cheese tart was the worst dessert Ive had in a fine dining setting

    Starters were great and so were desserts; main dishes, more average: lamb chops were lamb chops, risotto was risotto. Also out of 3 wine pairings they forgot to bring 2…

    Service and food were great. Menu had minor changes from the website, but that was even better! This is our favorite restaurant in SF for many years, especially New Year's eve. Open table stated there was parking validation at nearby Hill garage. This is not correct. Prospect said they do not validate parking. But if you shop at nearby Hill market, they will validate at Lumina garage.

    The pre-fix menu did not have a non dairy substitution option. The recommendation to accommodate the restriction was to remove the main portion of the entree. The appetizers were very good, but the risotto entree was just ok. The sorbet dessert was inedible.
