Nestled in the Distillery Historic District, Pure Spirits Oyster House and Grill invites you to experience the charm of Victorian-era industrial architecture, both indoors and on our delightful patio. Known as the best seafood restaurant in Toronto, we take pride in serving fresh oysters from Canada’s east and west coasts, along with unique specialties from around the globe. Driving south to north, the parking lot is on right hand side. Coming from Front on Parliament, pass Mill street and parking lot is on left hand side. There is parking 24 hours for up to 500 vehicles

At the slightest sight of summer, we open the doors to our patio where you can sit and take in the beautiful Victorian Industrial architecture that the site is famous for. Grab a seat at the Oyster Bar where you can mingle with a Chef shucking your oysters to order and teaching you about the amazing flavours and how to best match it to our selection of local beers.

Unpretentious seafood restaurant in a beautiful setting in the distillery district. Feels very east-coast in its lovely yet casual interior. Lobster roll was the best I've had outside of the Maritimes/US east coast, truly delicious.

The food was TERRIBLE. Out of the Maryland Crab Cake (stale), Malay Curry Wings (fair), Calamari Tempura (more tempura batter less squid), Grilled Fish Tacos (little to no fish) Poached Halibut (stale), Steak Frites (foul smell is an understatement), Hand Cut Fries and Baked Bread Basket was the only saving grace. The server was polite but disappeared time and again.

We are deeply disappointed to hear that our food especially our Maryland Crab Cake, Malay Curry Wings, Calamari Tempura and several other dishes did not hit high on your expectations. We assure you that our Chef and his team put a lot of care and consideration when sharing comforting and delicious cuisines. Regardless, we would have loved to replace anything that wasn’t to your liking. We went for the oysters and we were not disappointed! Both our server (long time server of Pure Spirits whose name sadly forget) and the manager served us and chatted about the oyster we had ordered. Overall we lived all the food we ordered and the attentiveness of our server.

Great selection of oysters! Most importantly was the service we received from Iona. So lovely and knowledgeable. Very focused on making the meal memorable and special. Ask for her by name and tip generously.

The food is alright but a bit overpriced. They charge extra for horseradish and lemon on top of the oysters we already ordered. The server is somewhat rude and rushing us. The environment is amazing tho.

We took two out of town guests for lunch today (Tuesday). Service was excellent but three of the four dishes were very disappointing. Two mussels and French fries were not good - the broth tepid rather than piping hot and so much garlic that all other tastes were obliterated. The mussels were dry, rubbery and very gritty and the fries were like the burnt ends of batch. The fish tacos were tasteless but the crab cakes were superb. Didn't bother to stay for desert. All in all I will think twice about taking guests there in the future. Pity, as prior experiences were all much better.
