Our Name

Among the ruins of ancient Greece were items such as clay pots that revealed many clues to daily Hellenic life. PYLOS (pronounced Pee-'los) - the root word that includes things of clay - celebrates these prosaic artifacts we now recognize as great art.

*Pylos Restaurant now offers outdoor dining that is covered and heated.

Superb dining experience. I had a moussaka entree that was as good as any I've tasted before. As a party of four, all of us were very pleased with our meals. The presentation was terrific. The only con was the noise level. It was a Saturday night reservation at 6:30 pm so I would guess it would be tamer any other night of the week.

We were in Manhattan exploring the sights again, so we just had to eat at Pylos . Everything was as great as we remembered on our last visit.

Staff was friendly, welcoming and most gracious. They made sure that the meal I ordered met my expectations, and that I was thoroughly satisfied with how it tasted. I enjoyed the moussaka I ordered very much. It is my goto comfort dish there, and never disappoints!

Fantastic meal. Lamb chops were perfect as was the amazing soup, salad, appetizers and desserts. Our go to place for special occasions.

This use to be a favorite place to go . I hadn’t been in a while and the food was just as delicious as I remembered . Our waitress was professional but also warm and fun .
